Frequently Asked Questions – Insurance & Payment
1. Do you accept self-payment or cash pay?
Yes. We welcome self-pay patients. Trinova Medical offers clear, transparent pricing for visits and services for patients without insurance or those who prefer to pay directly.
2. Do you accept insurance plans outside the list shown above?
No. We only participate with the insurance plans listed on our Accepted Insurance page. Limiting our network helps us maintain predictable billing and the highest level of service for our patients.
3. Do you accept Marketplace or ACA exchange plans?
We currently do not participate with Marketplace or ACA exchange plans. If you have an exchange plan, you may still be seen as a self-pay patient.
4. Do you accept HMO plans?
No. We focus on PPO and Medicare Advantage PPO plans for simpler access and better coordination of care.
5. Do you accept Medicare?
Yes. We accept Traditional Medicare as well as Medicare Advantage PPO plans from Aetna, Florida Blue, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare.
6. What if I have Medicare with a secondary plan?
Yes. We accept Traditional Medicare with any secondary insurance plan, including AARP, Aetna, or other supplemental plans.
7. Do you accept Tricare?
Yes. We accept Tricare Select (PPO). However, we are not in-network with Tricare Prime.
8. What if my insurance plan is out of network?
If your plan is not listed, we are considered out of network. You can still be seen as a self-pay patient and request reimbursement from your insurance if your plan includes out-of-network benefits.
9. How can I confirm if my plan is accepted?
Check your insurance card and contact your insurance company before your visit. Ask if your plan lists Trinova Medical an in-network provider. Please note that some insurance panels may be temporarily full, and we may not be able to accept new patients under certain plans until additional openings become available.
10. Do you accept auto insurance, workers’ compensation, or other types of insurance?
No. Trinova Medical does not bill auto insurance, workers’ compensation, or third-party liability claims. Patients with these types of coverage may choose to be seen as self-pay and seek reimbursement directly from their insurer.
11. What payment methods do you accept for self-pay patients?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and checks. Payment is due at the time of service.
